deb package for jscompact

jscompact is an open source JavaScript compression tool capable of obfuscating and compacting JavaScript code.

Unfortunately the author’s site provided very little documentation on compiling it. With some help from
here
, I was able to compile it on Ubuntu Fiesty and packaged into a deb for everyone’s convenience.

Anyway, the deb package containing the binaries can be downloaded here for i386 users.

Conditional Comments for IE and AJAX

One of the biggest grief in web development is fixing these minor quirks between Internet Explorer and Mozilla based browsers like Firefox. Microsoft then makes it more difficult with more quirks between IE5, IE6 and IE7. To give Microsoft some credit, they seem to have genuinely tried to make IE7 more standards compliant than its predecessors.
